Brooklynn Scheer is the 19 year old daughter of Martin Scheer of Saint Helens, Oregon. She graduated from Saint Helens High School in 2017. When in high school, she competed as a part of the high school equestrian team and the varsity starting pitcher for softball where she earned a special recognition scholarship. She is currently enrolled in college at Portland Community College before transferring to Portland State University to earn a bachelor's degree in biology with a focus in genetics. She eventually plans to attend a medical school or join the U.S. Navy medical program to become a neurologist.
When Brooklynn is not busy with horses and school, she enjoys hunting and fishing with her dad and brother and training her yellow lab puppy that is a soon-to-be hunting dog. She also works as a waitress in a restaurant close to home and volunteers as a youth softball coach and umpire.
You can meet Brooklynn this year as she travels the states of Oregon and Washington representing the Tillamook rodeo. She enjoys teaching the younger generations, and even older generations, about the history and traditions of rodeo, so come say hi to her and her red roan quarter horse, Lila.
